A YouTube poster from the Netherlands recently uploaded an audio recording of Carlos conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Chicago, USA, in a live performance of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. The performance must date from Oct. 12, 13, or 14, 1978, the only three times Carlos conducted the CSO in Chicago. The performance was uploaded in four parts. Here are the links to the four clips:

To my ears, the trumpets and percussion come through well in this recording. The third movement, the transition from the third to the fourth movement is very well done, and the ending of the piece is spectacular! The audience erupts enthusiastically at the conclusion although the clip cuts off quite quickly. Having listened to the whole performance, I believe that this version is more interesting and exciting than either the classical version on the 1975 DGG CD and the 1981 version with the WPO in Mexico.
This interpretation (from Oct. 1978) is somewhat different from the one Carlos offered when he conducted the Wiener Philharmoniker at Teatro Juarez in Guanajuato, Mexico, in April 1981. Low-quality video clips, complete with unprofessional interruptions by the announcer at the beginning and end of the piece, have has long been available on YouTube:

All in all, this latest Kleiber uploading is a treasure of major proportions and is extremely exciting to hear. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did. Our gratitude goes out to the individual who, having somehow acquired a recording of this performance, kindly uploaded it so that other Kleiber fans can share in his pleasure.
